What this page will not pretend a review said

A nail salon searching Vagaro reviews wants a verdict. We will not invent one. No star score, no “4.7 from 3,000 salons,” and no customer sentence that was not on a page we fetched. The pricing URL we opened, vagaro.com/pro/pricing, did not include a star average in the text returned on September 22, 2026. Treat any star badge you see on a directory as that directory’s number, and open it yourself.

The invoice a review should be checked against is Vagaro pricing: the slider showed $30.00 and $23.99/mo for the first 6 months, and a FAQ says $10 per bookable calendar license up to seven. A review that never mentions how many people are on the book is a story about someone else’s meter.

Questions to ask of a Vagaro review

  1. Did they name the staff count? “Just Me” and “7+” are different places on the slider Vagaro showed. A solo suite and a ten-tech nail floor are not the same bill.
  2. Did they mention a second location? Vagaro says there is no added multi-location fee, and that each location still has its own cost from the features on it.
  3. Did they praise payroll, rent, or the branded app? Those are platform jobs. A booking-page complaint is a different job.
  4. Did “Google” mean a booking button, a listing, or a call that nobody answered? Vagaro’s page says get booked through Google and other apps. That sentence is not an AI receptionist.
  5. Did they mention Vera? On the pricing page Vera is marketing, empty slots, descriptions, and client messages. No dollar was printed. A review that says “the AI answers our shop line” needs a second read before you treat Vera as the phone.

What the product page is actually offering

The pricing page is a platform: syncing across locations, permissions, payroll and rent collection, payments, webhooks, a CRM, widgets, and a branded app. A review about data migration matches their note that imports typically take 1–2 business days with their onboarding team. A review about “I still miss calls during a pedicure” does not match a line on that page, because the page does not sell a 24/7 voice on the shop number.

Their 30-day trial is theirs. A review that loved the trial is not a review of AIVA. AIVA has no free trial.

When a review points at Calendar, and when it does not

Point at Bukkii Calendar when the complaint is the license slider and the shop wants a booking website plus Google Reserve at $20/month, unlimited staff, unlimited customers. Get Calendar — $20/mo. Do not point at Calendar when the review you trust is “payroll and the branded app are why we stay.” Calendar does not replace those, and it does not answer calls.

Point at AIVA, $200 one-time, when the review is about the phone. Get AIVA — $200. The keep-the-register version is keep Vagaro or Booksy and add AI. The list of other tools is Vagaro alternatives. Booksy’s own review questions are on Booksy reviews.

Two offers: AIVA on the phone, Calendar on the book

The calendar and the receptionist solve different leaks. Buy the one you are missing, or buy both. Neither is a footnote. Calendar does not answer the phone.

AIVA — the phone layer — $200 one-time

AIVA is the AI receptionist for inbound calls. She answers the shop number, books the service, and texts the appointment. $200 one-time. No monthly plan fee. No free trial. Get AIVA — $200. Hear her at (215) 791-6766.

Calendar — the booking layer — $20/month

Calendar is the booking website plus Google Reserve — the Book Online button on Google Maps. $20/month. Unlimited staff. Unlimited customers. It does not answer the phone. Choose it when the public book and Google are what you need, and you are keeping the checkout you already have. Get Calendar — $20/mo. Both cards are on pricing.

FAQ

Does this page rate Vagaro with stars?

No. We do not reprint a star average. We did not load a review marketplace on September 22, 2026. The pricing facts are from vagaro.com/pro/pricing that day.

What should a nail salon look for in a Vagaro review?

Staff count, whether a second location changed the bill, and whether the praise was for payroll and the branded app or for a booking page. A review that never names the chair count is someone else’s meter.

Is Vera the same as an AI receptionist?

Not on the text we fetched. Vagaro describes Vera as help for marketing, empty slots, descriptions, and client communication, with no price printed. AIVA answers the shop number for $200 one-time, with no free trial.

When do Vagaro reviews point at Bukkii Calendar?

When the complaint is the license slider and you want a booking website plus Google Reserve. Calendar is $20 per month with unlimited staff and unlimited customers. It does not replace Vagaro payroll or payments, and it does not answer calls.

Can I keep Vagaro if the reviews are mixed?

Yes. Keep it when the platform is what the floor runs. Add AIVA if the leak in those reviews is the phone. We do not claim a native webhook into Vagaro.
