No star score on this page
A nail salon searching Booksy reviews usually wants a number with a decimal. We will not invent one. No star average, no review count, and no quote attributed to an owner we did not fetch. On September 22, 2026 the pricing URL biz.booksy.com/en-us/pricing did not include a star average in the text we received. If a directory shows stars, that number belongs to the directory. Open it. Do not trust a recap that rounded it.
What a review cannot quietly change is the bill on Booksy pricing: $29.99 per month plus $20 per month for each additional team member, plus tax, and Boost at 30% of a Boost client’s first visit.
The review question that actually changes the decision
- Were the new clients from Boost, or did they already know the shop? Boost is free to turn on and then 30% of the first visit. Own-marketing clients are described as commission-free when Boost is off, and the FAQ says to share your Booksy profile link so Boost does not bill clients you already had.
- How many team members were on the account? The first subscription is $29.99. Each additional person is $20. A one-chair suite and an eight-tech nail floor are not reviewing the same invoice.
- Did “Google” mean Booksy’s included Reserve with Google line, a Maps listing, or a phone that rang out? Booksy lists Reserve with Google as something they do not charge extra for. That is not an answering service.
- Did the review mention card readers or processing? Those are separate figures: 2.69% + $0.30 keyed, 2.49% + $0.10 on the reader, 2.49% + $0.20 Tap to Pay, hardware at $299 or $53.10 plus shipping. A processing complaint is not a subscription complaint.
- Did anyone say the software picked up the shop phone mid-service? The pricing page does not sell that. A 14-day trial, with no credit card, is Booksy’s trial. It is not a trial of AIVA.
Included features a review might be describing
Booksy says the core subscription includes the feature list: unlimited bookings, reminders, email and text marketing, forms, Reserve with Google, waitlists, gift cards, memberships, and 2,000 SMS marketing messages a month. Appointment reminders are described as always free. A review that says “texts stopped after 2,000” may be talking about marketing SMS, not appointment reminders. Read which bucket they meant.
A review that says “we paid 30% on a regular who already had our Instagram” is a Boost-routing story. Their own FAQ tells businesses to push the profile link so those clients are not treated as Boost acquisitions. That is their instruction, not ours.
Where Bukkii fits after you read the reviews
Stay on Booksy when the reviews you trust say the marketplace is how the book fills, and you accept the $20 seats and the optional 30%. Leave the meter, not the marketplace myth, when the complaint is per-person pricing and the guests already know you. Bukkii Calendar is $20/month, unlimited staff, unlimited customers, and Google Reserve. Get Calendar — $20/mo. It does not copy Boost. It does not answer the phone.
If the review is “nobody answers during a fill,” that is AIVA at $200 one-time. Get AIVA — $200. You can keep Booksy. The decision page is Booksy alternative. Vagaro’s review questions, which are about licenses rather than Boost, are on Vagaro reviews.

Two offers: AIVA on the phone, Calendar on the book
The calendar and the receptionist solve different leaks. Buy the one you are missing, or buy both. Neither is a footnote. Calendar does not answer the phone.
AIVA — the phone layer — $200 one-time
AIVA is the AI receptionist for inbound calls. She answers the shop number, books the service, and texts the appointment. $200 one-time. No monthly plan fee. No free trial. Get AIVA — $200. Hear her at (215) 791-6766.
Calendar — the booking layer — $20/month
Calendar is the booking website plus Google Reserve — the Book Online button on Google Maps. $20/month. Unlimited staff. Unlimited customers. It does not answer the phone. Choose it when the public book and Google are what you need, and you are keeping the checkout you already have. Get Calendar — $20/mo. Both cards are on pricing.
FAQ
Does this page rate Booksy with stars?
No. We do not reprint a star average. We did not load a review marketplace on September 22, 2026. Pricing facts are from Booksy’s US pricing page that day.
What should a nail salon look for in a Booksy review?
Whether new clients came from Boost, how many team members were billed at $20 each, and whether the complaint was processing, marketing texts, or the phone. A review that hides the chair count is hiding the meter.
What is Boost, in one line from their page?
Free to turn on, no monthly fee, then a one-time 30% fee on the total cost of a Boost client’s first visit. That is Booksy’s description, fetched September 22, 2026.
When do Booksy reviews point at Bukkii Calendar?
When the complaint is the extra-user fee and you do not need the marketplace. Calendar is $20 per month with unlimited staff, unlimited customers, and Google Reserve. It does not replace Boost, and it does not answer calls.
Can I keep Booksy?
Yes. Keep it when the marketplace is how chairs fill. Add AIVA at $200 one-time if the leak is the phone. We do not claim native two-way sync into Booksy.
