Nail salon software is several jobs sold as one login
Nail salon software is what owners type when the book, the Google listing, and the ringing line are all leaking at once. On a US nail floor — many of them Vietnamese-owned family shops where the owner is also in a set — that search usually lands on a full platform: calendar, checkout, marketing, sometimes payroll. The price on the page is often a seat meter. Every tech with a profile costs more every month.
That can be the right buy if you want one company for the register and the book. It is the wrong buy if the hole is narrower: a public booking page, a Book Online button on Google Maps, and a staff list that does not grow the bill when you add the Saturday tech. Nail shops hit this when the floor goes from four chairs to eight and the software quote jumps with the headcount. The phone version of that story, for owners who work in English on a Vietnamese-owned floor, is on AI receptionist for Vietnamese-owned salons.
What the search is actually asking for
- The book. Gel, dip, acrylic, fill, pedicure, with a duration and a tech who can do that service.
- The public door. A booking website and the Google Reserve button, not a DM thread.
- The client list. Regulars every two or three weeks. A cap on customers is a cap on the shop.
- The phone. Separate. A booking page does not pick up while both hands are in product.
- The drawer. Also separate. Card, cash, and tip can stay on the POS the floor already trusts.
Bukkii splits the first three from the last two. Nail salon booking software on Calendar is the book. Nail salon POS stays yours. The phone is AIVA, not a line item inside the calendar plan. Online booking and scheduling are the two ways people describe that book.
The per-user pattern, quoted from the live Mangomint page
We opened mangomint.com/pricing on September 22, 2026. These figures are copied from that page. Nothing else is filled in.
| Line on the live page | Published price | What that page states |
|---|---|---|
| Users | $120/mo base + $10 per user | FAQ: anyone with a profile counts, including staff and front desk. |
| Locations | $120/mo each | Printed under Locations. |
| Phone add-on | $70/mo per line | Call and text from one number. FAQ: in-app calls and texting. Not described there as an AI receptionist. |
| Payroll | $50/mo + $8 per worker | Pay the team, sync with QuickBooks, file taxes per location — their wording. |
| Marketing | Starting at $30/mo | Campaigns and automated flows. They say marketing plans start at that floor. |
| In-person payments | 2.45% + 15¢ | Per successful transaction. |
| Virtual payments | 2.90% + 30¢ | Per successful transaction. |
A shop with eight staff profiles is $120 + $80 = $200 per month on the Users line for one location, before Phone, Marketing, or Payroll. A front-desk profile is another $10, because their FAQ counts that profile. Their Phone add-on is a calling and texting line, not the product on this page. The longer compare is Mangomint vs an AI phone receptionist.

GlossGenius prices a staff band, not a ten-dollar seat
We also opened glossgenius.com/pricing the same day. Beauty plans on that page: Standard $28/month or $24/month billed annually; Gold $56/month or $48/month billed annually, described on the card for businesses up to 9 staff, with Google Booking on Gold; Platinum $168/month or $148/month billed annually, described for teams of 10 and up. The FAQ on that page says Platinum includes unlimited team members. Card processing is a flat 2.6%. Payroll on that page is $40/month + $6 per seat. They publish a 14-day trial. That is GlossGenius policy. Bukkii has no free trial.

Those are full platforms: booking site, POS, and a wide feature list. Calendar is not a substitute for that list. The contrast is the meter and the scope. You should not pay a large-team plan if you only needed the book, and you should not expect a $20 booking plan to run payroll. A fair lineup, including Bukkii with those limits written down, is on best nail salon software.
Calendar is $20 a month, with no seat line
Bukkii Calendar is $20/month. Unlimited staff. Unlimited customers. Booking website and Google Reserve. It does not answer the phone. There is no per-tech adder when the new hire gets a column. There is no customer cap when the regular book is long, which it is in nails.
Vagaro, Booksy, Setmore, Fresha, and Square publish their own rates. We did not fetch those rate cards on September 22, 2026, so this page does not print a number for them. If the floor already lives in Vagaro or Booksy, keep it: keep Vagaro or Booksy and add the phone. Setmore version: Setmore vs an AI receptionist. A wider name map that is not this keyword sits on nail salon software comparison.
Pick the layer that matches the hole
| Hole | What to buy | What not to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Public book and Google | Calendar — $20/month, unlimited staff, unlimited customers | It will not answer the phone or replace the POS |
| Shop line mid-fill and after close | AIVA — $200 one-time. Included usage and rates: AI receptionist cost | Not a Mangomint or GlossGenius clone |
| Register, payroll, inventory | Keep the POS or a full suite you already trust | Do not rip it to get a booking link |
The $200 one-time payment covers a dedicated number, training on your menu, calendar setup, and forwarding, plus 100 voice minutes and 1,500 SMS. After that, voice is $0.35/min and SMS is $0.035. No monthly plan fee on AIVA. No free trial. Get AIVA — $200 or Get Calendar — $20/mo.
The rest of this nail cluster
These pages split the same shop into the search people actually type. Start here for the software category, then open the job you have:
- Nail salon booking software — the record of the chair
- Nail salon online booking — the menu on a page
- Online booking for a nail salon — Google and the link you own
- Scheduling software — a column per tech
- Appointment software — the visit itself
- Nail salon booking — phone, Google, and the door
- Management software — what “manage” does and does not mean
- Nail salon POS — keep the register
- Best nail salon software — a list with the limits written down
A solo floor that is one pair of hands has the same split on AI phone and Calendar for a solo salon.
Two offers: AIVA on the phone, Calendar on the book
Bukkii sells two layers. They are separate products. Neither one is a free trial.
AIVA — the phone layer — $200 one-time
AIVA is the AI receptionist for inbound calls. She answers the shop number, books the service, and texts the appointment. $200 one-time. No monthly plan fee. No free trial. Get AIVA — $200. Hear her at (215) 791-6766.
Calendar — the booking layer — $20/month
Calendar is the booking website plus Google Reserve — the Book Online button on Google Maps. $20/month. Unlimited staff. Unlimited customers. It does not answer the phone. Get Calendar — $20/mo. Both cards are on pricing.
FAQ
What is nail salon software?
Nail salon software is the set of tools that hold the book: services, staff, clients, and a way for someone to reserve a chair. Many products also sell checkout, marketing, or payroll in the same login. Those extra jobs are real. They are not required for a booking page and a Google button.
Why do some nail salon software plans charge per technician?
Platforms such as Mangomint publish a base fee plus a price per user. On their pricing page, fetched September 22, 2026, a user is anyone with a profile, including staff and front desk. Adding a tech adds a monthly line. GlossGenius, fetched the same day, uses plan bands instead: Gold is described for businesses up to 9 staff, and Platinum for larger teams.
How much is Bukkii Calendar?
Calendar is $20/month. It includes a booking website and Google Reserve, with unlimited staff and unlimited customers. It does not answer the phone. There is no free trial. AIVA, the AI receptionist, is a separate $200 one-time payment.
Does nail salon software from Bukkii replace Mangomint or a nail POS?
No. Calendar does not replace a POS, payroll, or inventory system. Keep Mangomint, GlossGenius, Vagaro, Booksy, or the register you already run if that is where checkout lives. AIVA does not take the card either.
Does Calendar answer the shop phone?
No. Calendar does not answer phones. AIVA is the phone layer. She is $200 one-time, with no monthly plan fee and no free trial.
