A shift is who is bookable, and when
Salon scheduling software is the staff plan. On a nail salon that plan is concrete: the owner takes a column until 4, two techs open at 10, a Saturday tech covers the overflow, and one booth renter posts her own three days. Clients can only land in hours those people actually work. When someone is off, that column has no openings.
That is a different question from how a guest reserves a gel fill. Client booking — service, duration, requested tech, and the Google button — is booking software for salons, the shortlist on best salon booking software, and the nail menu version on nail salon booking software. Stay here for the roster.
Calendar holds the roster as bookable hours on one multi-tech calendar. $20/month. Unlimited staff. Unlimited customers. Live availability so two clients are not written on the same tech at the same time. It does not clock anyone in, and it does not answer the phone.
Multi-tech means one shared day, several columns
A nail day is parallel work. Four fills can run at once because four people are on shift, each with a duration that fits their remaining hours. A pedicure tech who leaves at 3 cannot be offered a 3:30. A tech who does not do gel-X should not receive a gel-X request during an otherwise open shift. The public page should only offer holes that exist inside that person’s hours.
The rules for which services a column may take, and how long a fill runs, are written on nail salon scheduling software. The column view of the day is salon calendar software. Who is allowed to be booked for a service is salon scheduling app. Once a hole becomes a visit — reminder, move, late text — that record is salon appointment software. This page is the shift underneath those articles.

Family coverage, booth days, and a called-out shift
Many US nail salons are Vietnamese-owned family shops. The schedule is often the owner, a few full-week techs, a relative on Sunday, and booth renters who set their own days. Putting Sunday on the book should be a column and a set of hours, not a new software tier. A booth renter who works Wednesday through Friday should show those three days and stay dark the rest of the week.
When someone calls out, take that person off the book for the rest of the day so Google and the booking page stop offering those hours. The other techs keep their shifts. Calendar has no team swap board and no payroll roster. Time clocks, commissions, and a labor schedule belong on salon software (the management section) and on nail salon management software. Keep the register you have: nail salon POS.
Unlimited staff is why the shift plan can grow
Some salon platforms price each bookable person or each user profile. Adding the Saturday tech adds a line. The seat-by-seat figures we have checked sit on unlimited-staff booking calendar and on nail salon scheduling software, dated to the public pages fetched for those articles. This page does not reprint them.
Calendar’s scheduling offer is flat: $20/month, unlimited staff, unlimited customers, booking website, email reminders, and Google Reserve. Eight columns and a booth renter are the same plan as four. No free trial. The plan still does not answer the phone, so a full Saturday book does not put a receptionist on the line by itself.
The phone is outside the shift
A complete schedule is when the phone is hardest to reach. Every tech who is on shift is in a service. AIVA answers that line, books into the open hours on the multi-tech calendar, and texts the appointment. $200 one-time. No monthly plan fee. No free trial. A one-column shop feels the same gap: AI phone and Calendar for a solo salon.
Get Calendar — $20/mo to put every shift on the book. Get AIVA — $200 when the roster is full and the handset is the leak. Included AIVA usage on pricing: 100 voice minutes and 1,500 SMS, then $0.35/min voice and $0.035 per SMS. If the floor already trusts another grid, keep it and add the phone rather than rebuilding the week.
Two offers: AIVA on the phone, Calendar on the book
The shift plan and the receptionist are separate products. No free trial.
AIVA — the phone layer — $200 one-time
AIVA is the AI receptionist for inbound calls. She answers the shop number 24/7, books the service against who is actually on shift, and texts the appointment. $200 one-time. No monthly plan fee. No free trial. Get AIVA — $200. Hear her at (215) 791-6766.
Calendar — the multi-tech book — $20/month
Calendar is the booking website plus Google Reserve, with a column and bookable hours for every person on the floor. $20/month. Unlimited staff. Unlimited customers. It does not answer the phone, and it is not a time clock. Get Calendar — $20/mo. Both cards are on pricing.
FAQ
What is salon scheduling software?
Salon scheduling software is how a salon plans who works, and which times each person can be booked. On a nail floor that is a multi-tech calendar: each tech's shift, the services they perform, and the chairs that can overlap. Bukkii Calendar is that book at $20/month with unlimited staff.
How is salon scheduling software different from booking software?
Scheduling is the staff plan: shifts, days off, and who is on the floor. Booking is the client reservation: the service, the duration, and the tech they asked for. Both can live on Calendar. The booking shortlist is a different page. This page stays on the staff plan.
Does Calendar include a time clock or a payroll schedule?
No. Calendar publishes bookable hours for each staff member and keeps those columns from double-booking. Clock-in, commissions, and payroll belong with salon management software or the POS you already run.
Does a new tech or a booth renter raise the Calendar price?
No. Calendar is $20/month with unlimited staff and unlimited customers. A Saturday-only tech and a booth renter who works three days are additional columns on the same plan. The plan still does not answer the phone.
Who answers when every scheduled tech is in a service?
AIVA does. She is the AI receptionist at $200 one-time and can book against the staff calendar. Calendar itself does not pick up the phone. No monthly plan fee. No free trial.
