My AI Front Desk (now Frontdesk) vs AIVA (2026)

A client is in the chair for a fill when the shop line rings. This page compares My AI Front Desk, now called Frontdesk, with AIVA for a US nail salon, based on what each company had published on November 3, 2026. It's a guide to fit, not a ranking. AIVA answers callers in English only. Frontdesk's nail-salon page says English and Spanish are standard on every plan.

The vendor has rebranded My AI Front Desk as Frontdesk, but the site is still myaifrontdesk.com. This article relies on pages read on November 3, 2026: the pricing page, the AI receptionist page, and the nail-salon page. One older page still disagrees with the pricing and AI receptionist pages about a free plan: the billing tutorial dated April 7, 2026. AIVA's figures come from bukkii.ai/pricing on November 3, 2026. For how AIVA works on a nail floor, see nail salon. For Goodcall, see Goodcall vs AIVA. For Rosie, Dialzara, Ruby, Smith.ai, RingCentral, and the booking-platform add-ons, see AI receptionists for nail salons compared.

Comparison table

As of November 2026. Frontdesk cells come from myaifrontdesk.com, read November 3, 2026. AIVA cells come from bukkii.ai/pricing the same day. Where two Frontdesk pages disagree, the cell says which page says what.

Pricing model

Frontdesk sells a subscription. On myaifrontdesk.com/pricing, read November 3, 2026, Business-in-a-Box is $99 a month, or $79 a month billed annually. The FAQ on that page says paying annually takes 20% off and is billed upfront. Partner and Enterprise are custom and priced by volume. The same page lists volume pricing for those plans, with voice starting at 7 credits a minute. It also says 1 credit is $0.01, so 7 credits works out to $0.07 a minute. The page doesn't publish a dollar amount for Partner, so this article won't guess one.

The pricing page and the AI receptionist page, both read the same day, say Frontdesk does not offer a permanently free plan. Paid plans start at $99 a month for the plan that answers calls. A billing tutorial dated April 7, 2026 still describes a Free plan at $0, with limited usage and no card required. Because those two November 3 pages contradict the tutorial, this article doesn't treat Free as a current offer.

AIVA, per bukkii.ai/pricing the same day, is $200 one-time. No free trial, no monthly fee, no contract. That payment covers a dedicated number, training on your menu and policies, calendar setup, and call forwarding, plus 100 voice minutes and 1,500 SMS. After that, voice is $0.35 a minute and SMS is $0.035. Packs never expire. Get AIVA — $200. Hear her at (215) 791-6766.

Bukkii Calendar is a separate product, and it does not answer the phone. Calendar is free for up to 3 staff and includes the booking website. The $20-a-month plan adds unlimited staff and customers, plus Reserve with Google. Email reminders come with the $20 plan. Reserve with Google is not on the free plan.

What's included

On the pricing page read November 3, 2026, Business-in-a-Box includes 200 voice minutes, 400 SMS, and 100 chatbot conversations. The small-business FAQ on that page also lists 500 email drafts and 300 website form submissions a month. The plan card lists Zapier, a verified outbound number, and 3 notification recipients. The comparison table lists 20 outbound calls a day, and the FAQ calls that a hard daily cap. The page describes the plan as voice, web chat, two-way SMS, an AI CRM, and automations in one package. Frontdesk covers more channels than AIVA. AIVA is the phone, plus the SMS that come with the phone product. AIVA doesn't sell web chat, a CRM, or email automations as a bundle like that.

Once you use up the included voice minutes, the pricing page charges 25 credits a minute. At $0.01 a credit, that's $0.25 a minute, drawn from a pool of 1,000 overage credits each month. The FAQ says those 1,000 credits cover about 40 extra voice minutes, and unused pool credits expire at the end of the month. If the pool runs out, auto-reload adds 1,000 credits for $10, and the page says purchased credits never expire. SMS overage is 4 credits a message, or $0.04. A chatbot conversation is 5 credits, or $0.05. A form submission is 4 credits, or $0.04.

AIVA meters minutes and texts. The $200 payment includes 100 voice minutes and 1,500 SMS. After that, you pay $0.35 per voice minute and $0.035 per SMS. A long call costs more than a short one, and a repeat caller still uses minutes. Packs never expire. The included SMS cover post-booking texts. This page does not say AIVA texts a caller who has already hung up.

Calendar and booking

On a nail floor, the appointment has to land in a book, and Frontdesk's pages don't all name the same one. The AI receptionist page, read November 3, 2026, says the agent checks availability on Google Calendar, Outlook, or Calendly, then confirms by SMS. The pricing page says every plan connects to calendars, CRMs, and other apps through Zapier, but it doesn't name Vagaro, Booksy, Fresha, or GlossGenius. The nail-salon page claims native integrations with Vagaro, Mindbody, Booker, Square Appointments, and GlossGenius. That list is the vendor's claim on the nail-salon page. If your gel and fill book has to stay in one of those, confirm the write with Frontdesk before you count on it. The pricing page and the nail-salon page don't describe the same connection.

AIVA books on Bukkii Calendar. This page does not claim that AIVA writes appointments into Vagaro, Mindbody, Booker, Square Appointments, GlossGenius, Booksy, Fresha, or Square. The nail menu, chair setup, and forwarding are covered on the nail salon page. Calendar does not answer the phone. The free plan is $0 for up to 3 staff and includes the booking website. The $20 plan adds unlimited staff and customers, plus Reserve with Google. Email reminders come with the $20 plan.

Languages callers hear

AIVA answers callers in English only. AIVA does not answer callers in Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, or Korean. You can read this page in Spanish or Vietnamese, but the phone voice stays in English. If a caller needs Spanish or Vietnamese, AIVA is the wrong tool for that call.

Frontdesk's nail-salon page says bilingual coverage comes with every plan, with English and Spanish as standard. The AI receptionist page says the product handles 20+ languages, including Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Mandarin, and auto-detects the caller's language. The pricing page also says 20+ languages but doesn't list them. None of those pages, read November 3, 2026, name Vietnamese. Neither "20+" on the pricing page nor "English and Spanish" on the nail-salon page means Vietnamese. If your shop needs Vietnamese on the phone, check Frontdesk's current page before you buy.

Setup and forwarding

Frontdesk's AI receptionist page says you keep the business number customers already know and forward it — on every call, or only when nobody picks up, after hours, or on weekends. The same page says there's no porting and no new hardware. The nail-salon page also says you forward your calls, train Frontdesk on your business, and go live without new hardware.

AIVA's setup, per the pricing page checked November 3, 2026, is call forwarding from the shop's existing number. The $200 payment includes a dedicated number, training on your menu and policies, calendar setup, and that forwarding. The number on your door and on Google stays with your phone company. You just forward it. This page does not describe number porting for AIVA.

Salon fit

Frontdesk's pricing page is written for a growing small business that wants a full front office, not just a phone. The plan copy names voice, web chat, SMS, a CRM, and automations. The nail-salon page is the one that talks about nail appointments, service times, and the salon books listed above. To be fair to the product, it covers more channels than AIVA. AIVA answers the phone and books on Bukkii Calendar.

Frontdesk is a better fit than AIVA in a few clear cases. You want that multi-channel bundle, not just a phone that books the chair. Your callers need English and Spanish on the line, which the nail-salon page says is standard on every plan. You want the salon-book connections that same page claims, and you'll confirm them before you move your book. You're fine with $99 a month, or $79 a month billed annually, plus overage credits, and you want the 7-day trial on Frontdesk's AI receptionist page. That trial is Frontdesk's. AIVA has no free trial, and AIVA answers callers in English only.

AIVA fits a US nail salon whose callers can book in English, that will keep appointments on Bukkii Calendar, and whose owner would rather pay $200 one-time than a monthly plan. The $200 payment includes training on your menu and policies. Gel, dip, fill, and acrylic are covered on the nail salon page. AIVA does not answer in Spanish or Vietnamese. Calendar does not answer the phone.

A quick pointer, without reprinting other vendors' prices: Goodcall's October 30, 2026 head-to-head is Goodcall vs AIVA. Rosie, Dialzara, Ruby, Smith.ai, RingCentral, and the booking-platform add-ons are in AI receptionists for nail salons compared.

Contract and trial

AIVA has no trial, no monthly fee, and no contract. There's nothing to cancel on the phone product, because there's no monthly plan fee. Calendar's free plan is a $0 plan for up to 3 staff, not a trial of the phone.

Frontdesk's AI receptionist page, read November 3, 2026, says there's a 7-day free trial, no contract, and that you can cancel anytime. It also says paid plans are month to month from $99, and that you cancel from the dashboard. The pricing page says no contracts and cancel anytime, and says the usage included in a trial depends on the plan or a written offer. The pricing page doesn't repeat the 7-day length. The 7-day trial mentioned in this article is Frontdesk's, from its AI receptionist page. It is not a Bukkii offer.

Final verdict

Based on pages read November 3, 2026, here's who each product suits. It's not a ranking.

Frontdesk is the better fit if you want one monthly front office for voice, web chat, SMS, a CRM, and automations, rather than just a phone that books the chair. It's also the better fit if your callers need Spanish as well as English, since the nail-salon page says that's standard, and AIVA answers callers in English only. And it's the better fit if you want the salon-software connections that nail-salon page claims, once you've confirmed the write into the book you already use. If you'd like to try a monthly plan first, the 7-day trial on the AI receptionist page is a reason to start there. That trial is Frontdesk's.

AIVA fits a nail salon in the United States whose callers can book in English, whose appointments should land on Bukkii Calendar, and whose owner wants a $200 one-time payment instead of a monthly plan. Get started. Both cards are on the pricing page.

If your book has to stay in Vagaro, Mindbody, Booker, Square Appointments, or GlossGenius, Frontdesk's nail-salon page is where it claims those connections. This page does not claim that AIVA writes into them.
