AI Receptionists for Nail Salons Compared (2026)

Pick based on three things: the booking software the appointment has to land in, how many calls your shop actually takes, and whether you need a live person on the line or someone answering in Spanish or Vietnamese. AIVA answers callers in English only. She's $200 one-time, with no trial, no monthly fee, and no contract, and she books on Bukkii Calendar. If your book has to stay inside Fresha, Booksy, or GlossGenius, use that platform's own add-on. If you need a live person, Ruby and Smith.ai's human tier are built for that.

The tools below are listed alphabetically. That order isn't a ranking, and this page doesn't pick a winner. Bukkii AIVA shows up first only because "Bukkii" comes first in the alphabet.

What AIVA actually does on a nail floor (the menu, the chair, the forwarding) is covered on the nail salon page. This post is just the comparison. For a wider look across small businesses, see AI receptionists for a small business. For the salon phone without the multi-vendor table, see an AI receptionist for salons.

Pricing model

Look at the meter, not the headline price. AIVA, per bukkii.ai/pricing checked October 28, 2026, is $200 one-time. No trial, no monthly fee, no contract. That payment covers a dedicated number, training, calendar setup, and call forwarding, plus 100 voice minutes and 1,500 SMS. After that, voice is $0.35/min and SMS is $0.035. Packs never expire. The included SMS cover post-booking texts.

Calendar is a separate product, and it doesn't answer the phone. Calendar is free for up to 3 staff and includes a booking website. Calendar is $20/month for unlimited staff and customers, plus Reserve with Google. Email reminders come with the $20 plan. Reserve with Google isn't on the free plan.

Dialzara, per dialzara.com/pricing the same day, sells monthly minute plans: Business Lite is $29 for 60 minutes, then $0.48/min; Pro is $99 for 220 minutes, then $0.45/min; Plus is $199 for 500 minutes, then $0.40/min; and Elite is $349 for 1,000 minutes, then $0.35/min. Done for You starts at $1,500+ per month. Fresha's pricing page lists AI Concierge as an add-on: messaging only is $29.95 per location per month, and calls and messaging is $99.95 per location per month with 200 minutes, then $0.60/min. On top of that, you pay for Fresha itself ($19.95/month for one bookable member, or $14.95 per bookable team member on the Team plan, same page, same date).

Frontdesk's pricing page lists Business-in-a-Box at $99/month, or $79/month billed annually, with 200 voice minutes. Extra voice costs 25 credits a minute, and the page says 1 credit is $0.01, so that works out to $0.25/min, drawn from 1,000 monthly overage credits. Goodcall's pricing page bills by unique customers, not minutes: Starter is $79/month for 100, then 79¢ each; Growth is $129 for 500, then 26¢; and Scale is $299 for 2,000, then 15¢. RingCentral's AI receptionist pricing page says standalone starts at $49/month with 100 minutes, then $0.50/min, and the RingEX add-on starts at $39/month with 100 minutes. That FAQ text doesn't list a separate price for the RingEX phone plan, so check RingCentral for what the phone plan under the add-on costs.

Rosie's pricing page lists Professional at $49/month for 250 minutes, Scale at $149 for 1,000 minutes, and Growth at $299 for 2,000 minutes. One FAQ asks what happens once you go past those minutes, but the answer wasn't in the text we could read, so for overage, check current pricing. Ruby's homepage says plans start at $250/month. The plans-and-pricing page lists 50, 100, 200, and 500 receptionist-minute tiers but doesn't print the prices as text, so for per-tier pricing, check current pricing. Smith.ai's AI page lists Free at $0/month for 25 calls, then $3.00/call; Pro at $150/month at $2.00/call for the 75-call step shown; and Enterprise at $500/month at $1.67/call for the 300-call step shown. The human page lists Starter at $300/month for 30 calls, then $11.50/call; Basic at $810/month for 90 calls, then $10.50/call; and Pro at $2,100/month for 300 calls, then $8.50/call.

Which booking software it books into

On a nail floor, this is the difference that matters most. If the appointment has to land in the book you already run, an AI that only knows Google Calendar isn't going to write into Vagaro, Booksy, Fresha, GlossGenius, or Square for you.

AIVA books on Bukkii Calendar. This page doesn't claim that AIVA writes appointments into Vagaro, Booksy, Fresha, GlossGenius, or Square. Fresha AI Concierge, per Fresha's own feature page checked October 28, 2026, reads the Fresha menu and calendar. It's a Fresha-only add-on. Dialzara's pricing table marks calendar sync for Google and Outlook on Pro, Plus, Elite, and Done for You, but not on Lite. RingCentral's pricing page names Google and Outlook, plus HubSpot, Zoho, and Salesforce. Rosie's pricing-page FAQ says Rosie integrates with Google Calendar and Calendly. Smith.ai's AI page names Calendly under AI scheduling. The human page says appointment booking supports Calendly, Acuity, Appointy, Harmonizely, and others, at $1.50 per call.

Frontdesk's pricing page says the product books appointments and connects to other apps through Zapier. It doesn't name Vagaro, Booksy, Fresha, or GlossGenius as a native integration. Goodcall's pricing page describes external tools (an API, an MCP server, or code you write) but doesn't name a salon book. Ruby's pages list scheduling as something the receptionist can do, but they don't name any salon software. Check with each vendor before you assume it can write two-way into the book you're already paying for.

Languages it answers callers in

AIVA answers callers in English only. She doesn't answer callers in Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, or Korean. You can read this page in Spanish or Vietnamese, but the phone voice stays English. If a caller needs Spanish or Vietnamese, AIVA is the wrong tool for that call.

On October 28, 2026, these vendor pages did name a language. Dialzara's comparison table marks Bilingual (EN/ES) on Pro, Plus, Elite, and Done for You, but not on Lite, and a FAQ on that site says English and Spanish are available on Pro and Plus. Rosie's pricing page says "English & Spanish on every call." Ruby's homepage says 24/7 English and Spanish service with a live person. Smith.ai's human pricing page prices a dedicated Spanish line at $1.00 per call; the AI pricing page doesn't print that Spanish price. Booksy's AI receptionist page, which is in beta, says the assistant adapts in English or Spanish.

These pages didn't name a caller language, so this article won't make one up: Fresha's pricing page, Fresha's AI Concierge page, and Goodcall's pricing page. RingCentral's pricing page says "multilingual conversational support" but doesn't list the languages. Frontdesk's pricing page says "20+ languages" but doesn't list them. GlossGenius's reception and pricing pages don't name caller languages in the text we read. None of the pricing pages we checked that day said the product answers callers in Vietnamese. If you need Vietnamese on the phone, check the vendor's current page before you buy, and don't assume "20+" or "multilingual" covers Vietnamese.

Human backup

Transferring a call to your tech isn't the same thing as having a person pick up when nobody in the shop can.

Ruby, checked October 28, 2026, is live receptionists. The homepage says an AI that picks up the call on its own isn't how Ruby works. Ruby uses AI behind the scenes, including for transcripts, but the person on the call is human. Smith.ai sells both. Its human pricing page is for live agents, and its AI pricing page is a separate product. That AI page doesn't list a price for a live-agent add-on, so this article won't invent one. The human plans are the live tier, with their own prices listed above.

The rest, based on the pages we read, are software that can hand a call off to your team. Dialzara lists blind transfer on every inbound plan and warm transfer from Pro up. Rosie lists warm transfers and live call transfers on Scale and Growth, but not on the Professional card. RingCentral routes to a number or department. Frontdesk lists transfer as an agent action. Goodcall's pricing page describes an AI phone agent and doesn't sell a staffed receptionist tier. Fresha AI Concierge is an add-on inside Fresha, not a human desk. AIVA is software. She doesn't put a staffed receptionist on the line.

Setup

AIVA's setup, per the pricing page checked October 28, 2026, is call forwarding from the shop's existing number. The $200 payment includes a dedicated number, training, calendar setup, and that forwarding. The number on your door and on Google stays with your phone company; you just forward it. This page doesn't describe number porting for AIVA.

What the other vendors publish is more limited, and we only repeat what they say. Goodcall's FAQ says every plan includes a local number and that you can forward an existing number. RingCentral's pricing page includes a new phone number and says the product works with any business phone system. Rosie's page says "Pick your area code" and has a FAQ titled "Can I keep my phone number?" The answer wasn't in the text we read, so check with Rosie. Booksy's beta page says you get a Booksy number and can forward your existing number to it. GlossGenius's reception page says setup happens inside the GlossGenius app and that call forwarding works with the setups they name. Ruby's homepage lists flexible call forwarding and, separately, number porting and hosting as Ruby features. That porting line is Ruby's, not AIVA's.

Contract and trial

AIVA has no trial, no monthly fee, and no contract. There's nothing to cancel on the phone product because there's no monthly plan fee. Calendar's free plan is a $0 plan for up to 3 staff, not a trial of the phone.

Dialzara's pricing page, as of October 28, 2026, says no contract and lists a 7-day free trial. That trial is Dialzara's. Rosie's pricing page lists a 7-day free trial and says you can cancel anytime. Fresha's Independent and Team rows show a 7 day trial for the software, but the AI Concierge row doesn't list its own trial length, so check with Fresha before you assume the add-on is included in that software trial. RingCentral's AI receptionist page says both plans come with a 14-day free trial. Smith.ai's AI page says the service is month-to-month and asks for 30 days' notice to cancel; the human page says all plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee. Goodcall's FAQ says month to month, no setup fee, no minimum term, and a free demo agent until you add a number. Frontdesk's pricing page says no contracts and cancel anytime, says there's no permanently free plan, and says trial terms depend on the plan. It doesn't give a fixed trial length. Ruby's homepage says no long-term contracts, and the plans page says there are no additional fees for activation, onboarding, setup, customization, or coverage during certain periods.

Each tool

Bukkii AIVA

AIVA is the English-only phone that books on Bukkii Calendar. Per bukkii.ai/pricing, October 28, 2026: $200 one-time, no trial, no monthly fee, no contract. You get a dedicated number, training, calendar setup, call forwarding, 100 voice minutes, and 1,500 SMS. After that, it's $0.35/min voice and $0.035/SMS. Packs never expire. Included SMS cover post-booking texts. The AI Receptionist card on that page also lists unlimited staff. She doesn't answer in Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, or Korean. Get AIVA — $200. Hear her at (215) 791-6766.

Dialzara

Dialzara, per dialzara.com/pricing the same day, is a monthly minute plan for a general business line. Lite is $29/month for 60 minutes. According to the comparison table, Spanish and Google/Outlook sync start on Pro ($99) and up. It transfers to your team, and it doesn't name a nail book. It's a good fit for a shop that wants English and Spanish on a monthly minute plan and is fine booking into Google or Outlook.

Fresha AI Concierge

Fresha AI Concierge is an add-on on Fresha's pricing page, not a receptionist you can point at Vagaro or Booksy. Calls and messaging are $99.95 per location per month with 200 minutes, then $0.60/min. Messaging only is $29.95 per location per month. The feature page says it books, reschedules, and cancels from the Fresha calendar. Caller languages weren't named on the pages we read.

Frontdesk (formerly My AI Front Desk)

Frontdesk, per myaifrontdesk.com/pricing, is a monthly AI front office: $99/month or $79/month billed annually, with 200 voice minutes, then $0.25/min. The page says 20+ languages without listing them, and it says bookings connect through Zapier. It fits if you want that bundle and you're willing to connect the calendar yourself. It isn't a staffed desk.

Goodcall

Goodcall, per goodcall.com/pricing, bills by unique customers instead of minutes: $79, $129, or $299 a month. The FAQ says you can forward your existing number. The pricing page doesn't name a salon book or a caller language, so check with Goodcall on both before you count on Spanish, Vietnamese, or booking into Vagaro.

RingCentral AI Receptionist

RingCentral's own pricing page, as of October 28, 2026, prices the AI receptionist at $49/month standalone or $39/month as a RingEX add-on, each with 100 minutes, then $0.50/min. It names Google and Outlook and says multilingual without listing the languages. For a closer look at that phone setup, see RingCentral AI receptionist. It suits a shop that already wants RingCentral's phone system. On its own, it doesn't replace your nail book.

Rosie

Rosie, per heyrosie.com/pricing, is $49, $149, or $299 a month for 250, 1,000, or 2,000 minutes. Every plan says English and Spanish on every call. Scale and Growth book on the calendar and can transfer to your team. The FAQ names Google Calendar and Calendly, not a nail POS. For overage, check current pricing.

Ruby

Ruby is a human receptionist service. On ruby.com, as of October 28, 2026, plans start at $250/month with no long-term contract. English and Spanish are handled live. The plans page doesn't print the 50, 100, 200, or 500 minute prices as text, so for those tier prices, check current pricing. Stick with Ruby when you want a person. Our nail-salon writeup is Ruby receptionist alternative.

Smith.ai

Smith.ai publishes two sets of prices. The AI page, as of October 28, 2026, starts at $0 for 25 calls, then Pro from $150/month and Enterprise from $500/month. The human page starts at $300/month for 30 calls, $810 for 90, and $2,100 for 300, with a dedicated Spanish line at $1.00 per call. Go with the human tier when you want a person and a priced Spanish line. Don't assume the AI tier includes that Spanish line, because the AI page doesn't list it.

Booking software with its own add-on

Some booking platforms answer their own phone line. These are add-ons to that platform, checked October 28, 2026. They aren't extra rows in the alphabetical table above.

  • Booksy. Booksy's AI receptionist beta page says it answers calls and books onto the Booksy calendar, in English or Spanish. Early access is free for at least 12 months for the first providers in the beta. No later price is listed. You forward your existing number to a Booksy number.
  • GlossGenius. GlossGenius pricing lists Reception by GlossGenius at $50/month. The reception page says it answers calls and texts and books into the GlossGenius calendar. Caller languages aren't named on those pages.
  • Square. Square's appointments features describe Square Assistant as texts that confirm, cancel, or reschedule. A Square help article describes AI voice for taking orders, not for booking appointments. We didn't find a Square Appointments phone-receptionist price on Square's pages that day. Check with Square.
  • Vagaro. Vagaro's support article, updated October 27, 2026 and read October 28, prices Vera Receptionist at $10/month in the United States. Vera replies to listing-page messages and, with a Text Marketing plan, to SMS. That article describes a chatbot, not a voice receptionist on the shop's phone line.

Final verdict

Alphabetical again. Each line says who that tool suits better than AIVA, based on the pages checked October 28, 2026. AIVA suits a shop whose callers can book in English, that will book on Bukkii Calendar, and that wants to pay $200 one-time instead of a monthly receptionist plan.

  • Dialzara suits you better than AIVA if you want English and Spanish on a monthly minute plan and Google or Outlook works as your book.
  • Fresha AI Concierge suits you better if the appointment has to stay in Fresha and you're willing to pay for the Fresha add-on.
  • Frontdesk suits you better if you want a monthly AI bundle, a Zapier connection, and a vendor that advertises "20+ languages" (once you've confirmed your language is actually on the list).
  • Goodcall suits you better if you want a per-customer bill with no per-minute meter and you'll connect your own tools.
  • RingCentral suits you better if you already want that phone system and Google or Outlook booking is enough.
  • Rosie suits you better if you want English and Spanish on every call and Google Calendar or Calendly is your book.
  • Ruby suits you better if you want a live person, including live Spanish, on a monthly human plan.
  • Smith.ai suits you better if you want the human tier, or a dedicated Spanish line at the price on the human page.

Booksy's beta and GlossGenius Reception suit you better than AIVA if your book is already Booksy or GlossGenius and you want that platform to pick up the phone. Vagaro's Vera is a chat and SMS bot at $10/month in the US, not a voice receptionist. Square didn't publish an appointments phone-receptionist price on the pages we read.

What AIVA does for a nail salon

This comparison stops at the decision. For the nail-floor details (gel, dip, fill, acrylic, the chair, the forwarding), see the nail salon page. AIVA answers callers in English only. She's $200 one-time. Calendar is free for up to 3 staff and includes a booking website. The $20 plan covers unlimited staff and customers, plus Reserve with Google. Email reminders come with the $20 plan. Calendar doesn't answer the phone. Get started. Both cards are on the pricing page.

FAQ

How should a nail salon choose an AI receptionist?

Choose based on the booking software the appointment has to land in, your call volume, and whether you need a live person on the line or someone answering in Spanish or Vietnamese. AIVA answers callers in English only and books on Bukkii Calendar. It's $200 one-time, with no trial, no monthly fee, and no contract.

Does AIVA answer callers in Spanish or Vietnamese?

No. AIVA answers callers in English only. It doesn't answer callers in Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, or Korean. You can read this comparison in Spanish or Vietnamese, but the phone voice stays English.

What does the $200 AIVA payment include?

It's $200 one-time. There's no trial, no monthly fee, and no contract. It includes a dedicated number, training, calendar setup, and call forwarding from the shop's existing number, plus 100 voice minutes and 1,500 SMS. After that, voice is $0.35 per minute and SMS is $0.035. Packs never expire. Included SMS covers post-booking texts.

Does AIVA book into Vagaro, Booksy, Fresha, GlossGenius, or Square?

AIVA books on Bukkii Calendar. This comparison doesn't claim that AIVA writes appointments into Vagaro, Booksy, Fresha, GlossGenius, or Square. Fresha AI Concierge is a Fresha-only add-on. Booksy and GlossGenius offer their own phone tools that book into their own calendars. What AIVA does for a nail salon is covered on the nail salon page.

Who is a better fit than AIVA?

Ruby or Smith.ai's human tier, if you want a live receptionist. Rosie, Dialzara on Pro and above, Booksy's beta, or Smith.ai's priced Spanish line, if you need Spanish on the call and that vendor's page still says so. Fresha AI Concierge, if the book has to stay in Fresha. RingCentral, if you already pay for that phone system. AIVA is the English-only, one-time option that books on Bukkii Calendar.

Where were these prices checked?

Prices in the table come from each vendor's own pricing page, read on October 28, 2026. Where a page didn't print a number, the table says check current pricing. AIVA's figures come from bukkii.ai/pricing on that same date.
